We were hit with a rather sudden storm that was pretty devastating.
I heard the rumble of the thunder approach faster than I ever heard it, and I was trying to tell Judy that I needed to shut off my computer when I lost power. The rain was pouring down so hard that I couldn't even see my car in the driveway, and then the wind picked up, and with it, hail. The hail was pelting my office window so hard that I thought it was going to shatter.
But the City looked like a war zone, afterwards. A seven minute storm, and there were no less than a dozen trees that had fallen on electric wires, as well as dozens upon dozens of trees that fell over onto nothing at all.
I didn't get power back until 4:30PM on Saturday (almost 24 hours later), but my cable/internet was still out until I came home from work, today.
I won't be here this weekend (Tall Ship Festival. Woo!), so if you want, you can post what we had going on here and I can reply here, or... I am on Vacation Thursday and Friday. We can finish it up on Thursday, if you want.
It's up to you.
But I just wanted to tell you that I'm alive and well, and finally able to use the internet again to tell you. *chuckles*
