I finally got heat back last night.
We had been without heat for a week and a half... Which is all fine and dandy when Michigan decided to be 60F-70F, but not so much when it decided to drop back down to 30F.
Tried everything we could to fix it- replaced the ignition switch, replaced the board... still wouldn't work. I swallowed my pride (more for my wallet's sake than anything) and called a guy to come check it out. He changed out a fuse on the inside, but it still wouldn't work. Three hours later, he figured out that it was a faulty gas valve, but didn't have any on hand.
I toughed out the cold house just to keep an eye on the animals. Wasn't too worried about my toads as they decided to hibernate, but I was more worried about my cat and my rat.
It was just too cold to be anywhere in the house except under the heating blanket with a space heater in the bedroom.
Bought a new gas valve and replaced it yesterday night (all the while hoping I wouldn't do something wrong to blow up the house), and now we have glorious heat, again!

I can understand being without heat Seth. It gets very cold in my little crapy trailer, I only have a little room heater thanks to Otto. It helps but it still gets very cold in here.
